The loss drops the Hens out of first place, with games against Caltech and Whittier coming up this week.

Tyler Velton scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and Kamau Norman-Terrance added 14. On Wednesday the Sagehens travel to Occidental for a 7:30 contest.

Edward Wexler-Beron scored 16 points to lead the Sagehens to a victory over campus-rival Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 73-63 last night. David Knowles and Mark Erler added 13 and 11 points respectively. Shooting 57% from the field in the first half, the Sagehens jumped out to a 44-30 halftime lead which would prove to be more than enough as Pomona-Pitzer improves to 10-4 on the year and 3-0 in SCIAC.  On Saturday, the team returns home to host La Verne at 7:30 pm.
